What is the Sustainability Directory?
The CERB Sustainability Directory is a unique database designed to capture best practices in Pakistan’s sustainability landscape, with the objective to be the go – to platform where Pakistani companies showcase their good practices on sustainability. The platform enables companies to maintain their profiles detailing information about their sustainability practices, how they are progressing towards the UNs Sustainable Development Goals – and relevant sustainability certifications, global memberships and achievements. With Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors forming the core of sustainable operations, this database empowers companies to publicly showcase their journey forward.
The directory collects data on company performance on ESG metrics identified through the World Economic Forum’s Stakeholder Capitalism Framework, UNCTAD’s Core SDG indicators identified for private sector reporting and IFC’s Toolkit for Disclosure and Transparency.

How it Works
Navigating the Path to Sustainability
Your company can create a unique company profile by registering and filling out an online form, which serves as the foundation for the company profile. This profile showcases the sustainability attributes fulfilled by the company, a testament to their commitment to responsible business practices. This profile is publicly available and can be shared with internal and external stakeholders. As companies evolve and refine their sustainability goals, the profile allows for easy updates, ensuring an accurate reflection of ongoing efforts.
About Us
The Pakistan Business Council (PBC) is a business policy advocacy platform, established in 2005 and now composed of 99 of the largest private-sector businesses and conglomerates, including multinationals. Its main objectives are to create a business environment for sustainable growth of jobs, exports and self-sufficiency, especially in food products. It also works to promote formalization of the economy.
